Mini Splash

The first 100% eco-friendly and recyclable boat shows that TERRE DE LIN flax fibers are an alternative economical material for semi-structural composite applications.

Mini Splash is a very light 100% recyclable boat, designed by PERPSECTIVE DESIGN and produced with a 100% SICOMIN eco-friendly resin and a 100% flax  reinforcement from TDL Technique.

The 100 % flax reinforcement does not only bring lightness due to the low flax density, but also resistance to fatigue and a very high resistance due to the flax fiber. Flax also absorbs vibrations. Besides, the reinforcement technology makes it very convenient to process and impregnate, even for deep forms. It is also rather competitive compared to other long fiber flax reinforcements.

This new boat, realized with the RTM technology opens new possibilities to produce 100% recyclable and  eco-friendly  composites with middle cadence processes.

TDL Technique now wants to target semi-structural applications in transports, and first of all in automotive with this product range.
